How Walk Funds Will Be Put to Work
The registration for the Walk 4 Moms covers such things as setting up a secure website to handle donations, paying support staff to process donations, professional services such as web design and graphics, as well as printing and advertising the walk. Any remaining funds will join the sponsor funds and go toward projects for women and children.
Sisters In Service works to identify and support the most strategic grassroots initiatives for hurting women and children worldwide. We employ strict standards of financial accountability, track and report on progress of those projects to donors. Operating well above industry standards for non-profits, we currently disburse 85% of funds designated to projects.
All funds for the Walk 4 Moms are considered donations, and each donor will receive a tax deductible receipt and a report within 6 months on the life impact of those donations.
If you honestly cannot afford $25 to register, please register anyway by calling the SIS office at 1-877-552-1402. We simply ask that you raise enough funds through sponsors to cover that amount, as well as additional funds to help benefit hurting mothers and children. If you are registering after April 30, 2009, you may not receive a t-shirt the day of the Walk.
